Volume Lash Extensions
Not all lashes are created equally. Not all aestheticians know what they’re doing. At Eyelashes Tampa we are licensed professionals that specialize in eyelashes and waxing. Experience teaches that practice makes perfect – and that’s exactly how you will feel and look when you leave our boutique lash salon. Advance disclaimer: clients have been known to become lash addicts. Research studies have shown that most Americans don’t feel seen. Even the most selfless and altruistic individual wants to be noticed. Well, exercise caution when you walk out with long voluminous lashes because there isn’t one person who won’t be instantly captivated.
How are Volume Lashes Different?
Volume lashes are made from the same materials as single one dimensional lashes. The primary difference is that 2 to 3 individual lashes are gently bound together to make one. When applied to a natural lash it creates a voluminous look that brightens the eye and accentuates your makeup. Some of our clients opt for a voluminous look for a wedding, red carpet event or special celebration. Others strive to create intrigue and drama on a daily basis. They are the stars in their own play or telenovela – depending on how you want to look at it.
Natural Looking Volume Extensions
Many people assume that you have to look like Miss Piggy to have voluminous lashes. Unfortunately, we see this Muppet effect every day. Poorly trained aestheticians with limited taste inflict their clients with over the top lashes that give shock value and not intrigue. Beautiful lashes are designed to pull the beholder’s eye in, not push it away. The lashes used at Eyelashes Tampa are made from lightweight synthetic fiber. They appear fluffy and are applied to look as if you grew them yourself. If anyone happens to ask if they’re yours, simply reply, “I get it from my momma!”
How to Care for your Lashes
Although the glue that is used to secure your lashes are waterproof, we recommend that you refrain from getting your lashes wet from 24-72 hours. Simply wipe around the eye area while cleaning your face, versus splashing. A light shower mist is fine, however, avoid the steam sauna for the time being. Do not rub your eyes. Just as you can dislodge your natural lashes, the same is said for the extensions. The goal is to preserve your new look for as long as possible. You won’t need to but just in case you feel the need, only use water proof mascara and refrain from using a lash curler. Avoid oil based make up remover as it will encourage lash slippage.
Our lashes fall out naturally every 45 to 60 days, depending on our health and genetic factors. To optimize your new lash look, we recommend coming in for a touch-up every 2 to 4 weeks. You will be able to discern what is best for your aesthetic and your time. If you come in once every 3 weeks, you may want to make an appointment a week early for a special event on a calendar. Touch-ups typically last 60 to 120 minutes. The duration depends on the condition and type of lash. Don’t wait to long because if you do, a completely new set will be required.
